Keshaun vs Raffy animatic

Some parts are inbetweened from before, but basically I changed the fight sequence I was working on before and made Keshaun fight Alex’s sister instead, for story reasons
It was intended to be much longer (below) but Im cutting it down so that I can inbetween the majority of this and get a reel sorted within the next couple weeks for internship applications.

Current Sheets + Sculpt Progress

Updated character sheets that I’ve made so far of Keshaun and Alejandra. Theres a few characters I want to model but not sure if I’ll have time so we’ll just see how it goes.

And here’s what I got finished on Friday of Keshaun’s sculpt. I posted these to a discord server I’m in for feedback and they all pointed out that his hips were too small and the arms needed to be wider to match the delts, so that’s what I did! Going to work on his face/head and clothes soon. All that muscle detail to just be covered by a tunic 🙃

Film Character idea

Its me, but (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ anime ♥
Still not entirely sure what I’m going to do for my 3rd year… whether I’m going to do character animations or a film.
I had an idea for a short film in my head using this character, but I feel like I’d do a better job doing character animation (2D and 3D) for a reel since I like making characters act so much.

Here’re my character ideas for the third year film… I’ll most likely simplify them, going to do some more clearer concepts and colours, sort out outfits etc
Planning on doing some test animations too, I made a song and rough storyboard, which I’ll clean and post later

Vis Dev 3-shot

My visual development for the 3-shot movie. I did these 3 drawings to get an idea of the colours I wanted in-case I do end up doing it in colour and to layout the boat. I’ll most likely do a quick SketchUp/Maya model of the boat for the perspective stuff.

Rochelle – Outfit Concept

I’m going to be working on a personal character model/rig as well over the next few weeks/months of my character Rochelle… did a few drawings thinking of different outfits she wears in my story. Hopefully with this my character modelling, rigging, texturing and rendering skills will improve 🙂

Revised Scene Idea – Progress on Character Sculpt

Decided to change the idea of my scene as the previous one wasn’t working for me. I wasn’t sure how to design the windows to look good and didn’t spend enough time planning the entire room.
I’ve gone with this idea instead, and thoroughly thought about the choice of colours, needed textures and models. I downloaded the textures I needed from SketchUp Texture club and aim to do some practice renders soon.

I’m almost done with Jack’s body, need to fix some minor proportion issues (maybe widen his feet and ankles to match the stylised/semi-realist look I was going for) bring his torso down a bit maybe, and bring his arms up more for the default pose, then add his clothes and accessories.
